About

My name is Douglas Connard (he/him), and I have my Bachelor of Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Cum Laude from University at Buffalo. I have worked in the AEC industry creating marketing materials and proposals, combining design strategy with technical precision to support project pursuits. I have worked as a Climate Graphic Designer for University at Buffalo Sustainability, as an Assistant Graphic Designer for University at Buffalo’s College of Arts and Sciences, and as a Web Designer for University at Buffalo Foundation. In addition to my work at University at Buffalo, I have been a free-lance designer since 2013.

I love all things design and would talk your ear off anytime someone wants to listen. I love learning and seeking knowledge, which has me so excited to learn from all of you and collaborate together.

Design and art are my life.

“I can’t not make.” My Professor Shasti OLeary-Soudant said this to me once and this has always stuck with me because of my connection with this phrase. I have come to the conclusion that if “I can’t not make” then I should make to help others. Design and art create representations of the world we want to see. Thus, the designer has a responsibility and I am ready to take it on.

Rochester-born, Denver-resident!

I’m currently residing in Denver, Colorado. While a piece of my heart will always be in New York, I’m so thankful I have embarked on this new chapter of my life.

Let’s build something together.
